Located in Khanaqin, the Department of Geography is an active department in the College of Language & Human Science at Garmian university.

Our lecturers address many concerns facing the Iraq today, including climate change, urban development, migration, environmental management and geopolitics.

Our taught programs are innovative and interdisciplinary, and we are committed to the importance of field courses, research-based learning and supporting our students in achieving their potential.

As one of active departments of college of language and human science, geography department is the cornerstone of the college.
